Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Typetap website and services operated under the Typetap / TypeTap brand ("Typetap," "we," "us"). By accessing or using Typetap, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The Service

Typetap provides online typing tests, practice tools, and optional account features. Core typing tests are available without payment. Advanced features may require a paid Typetap Pro subscription. Guest results are stored in your browser's local storage by default. Signed-in users may sync limited score data for leaderboard purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account (for example Google or email sign-in). You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate contact information so we can reach you about billing or security issues.

4. Subscription and Billing

Paid access is sold as Typetap Pro only. We do not currently sell a separate paid tier named "Plus." Current published prices and plans appear on our Pricing page and must match checkout. As of the date above:

• Pro Monthly: $2.99 USD per month (monthly billing cycle).
• Pro Yearly: $19.9 USD per year (annual billing cycle; about $1.66/month).

Amounts are listed in USD. The charge confirmed on the payment page (including any taxes or FX applied by the payment provider) controls. Checkout is processed by our payment partner (currently Waffo) when enabled; you may need to sign in before purchasing.

4.1 How billing works

• Monthly: You are charged once per monthly period (about 30 days from successful payment, as recorded by the payment provider). Pro access lasts for that period while the membership is active.
• Yearly: You are charged once per yearly period (about 365 days from successful payment). Pro access lasts for that period while the membership is active.

4.2 Auto-renewal

Typetap Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. By completing checkout and providing a payment method, you authorize Typetap and its payment partners to charge your payment method at or near the end of each billing period for the next period at the then-current rate for your selected plan, until you cancel.

• Renewal charges are typically attempted at or shortly before period end.
• For yearly plans, we will try to send a renewal reminder to your account email when reasonably practicable. Not receiving a reminder does not remove your responsibility to manage the subscription.
• Failed charges may be retried. Ongoing failure may interrupt Pro access until payment succeeds or you resubscribe.

4.3 Price changes

We may change subscription prices. Updated prices will be shown on the Pricing page before they apply to a new purchase or renewal. Your current paid period follows the terms of that purchase. If a renewal price changes, the price shown at renewal applies. If you disagree, cancel before the next renewal charge.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel auto-renewal at any time. Typetap does not currently provide an in-app "Cancel subscription" button in account settings. To cancel:

1. Use the subscription management or cancel options offered by our payment provider (Waffo) for your checkout, if available; and/or
2. Email algoinf@gmail.com from your account email with subject "Cancel Typetap Pro," your account email, and order or transaction details if you have them.

After a successful cancellation: Pro benefits usually continue until the end of the period already paid for; no further automatic renewal charges should be made. Cancellation alone does not automatically refund the current period—see our Refund Policy.

4.5 AI features

When available, AI practice text generation is included with an active Pro membership. Typetap does not sell a separate prepaid credit or points balance for AI. There is no per-generation charge to a user wallet. Operator costs for AI providers are not billed to you as credits. Failed AI generations do not deduct a credit pack (none exists). Persistent AI outages may be eligible for review under the Refund Policy as a service issue.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful purposes or to violate others' rights.
• Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights—including unauthorized use of another person's name, likeness, voice, or identity.
• Commit fraud, abuse free or Pro features, evade payment or access controls, or attack, scrape, or overload the platform.
• Generate, upload, or distribute content that violates applicable law or these Terms (including through AI prompts when Pro AI is used).
• Abuse APIs, automation, or technical limits, or attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the service except as allowed by law.

6. Enforcement

If we believe you violated these Terms, we may take measures that are reasonable and proportionate to the severity of the issue and applicable law, such as:

• Warning you and asking you to stop the behavior.
• Removing or restricting access to specific content.
• Temporarily limiting features or suspending the account.
• For serious, repeated, fraudulent, or illegal conduct, terminating the account.

We do not claim unlimited arbitrary power to ban accounts without reason. Where appropriate, you may contact algoinf@gmail.com to appeal or ask questions about an enforcement action. We will review good-faith requests within a reasonable time.

7. Refunds

Refund rules—including duplicate charges, first-purchase windows, auto-renewal refunds, timelines, and how to apply—are set out in our separate Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

Typing scores (WPM, accuracy, etc.) are for reference and may not reflect your speed in every real-world context. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free AI output.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms. For material changes to pricing or auto-renewal, we will try to provide clear notice (for example on the Pricing page or by email) and allow you to cancel before the next renewal.
